ERP

Enterprise resource planning systems are known to be composed by different modules integrated in one application. These modules have different uses such as production, sales, purchases, logistic, bookkeeping, project management, GIS (Geographic Information System), inventory and warehouse control, orders, payrolls etc... Only one ERP can be defined as the integration of all these different modules. The opposite would be considering an accounting software an ERP by the mere fact the enterprise only uses this module. We cannot talk of ERP if only one module or a small part of the business is integrated. The definition of ERP points out the need for “the information to be available for all at all times”.
